A Special Touristic Tour in Crete.

If you want a type of holiday that combines discovery of the country, contacts with the locals, quiz about Crete, quiet and enjoyable environment, some tricky indications and directions about finding your way, wonderful food and drinks and finally compete for a prize, you will like our Touristic Tour in Crete. You will find the details here after but hurry as we can only organise this for 10 couples (20 people).

The touristic tour in Crete is organised for 5 days April to September. Flying from your local airport you will arrive in Heraklion where the nice weather will surprise you straight away, and where we will meet you on a Wednesday. After that you will take your rental car things will start to be interesting. You will receive the directions and indications to get you to the next accommodation. By driving through different villages you will find the answers to some of the questions. There is no hurry and you will have plenty of time to do that. There are six questions linked to the trip of the day plus one task requiring certain ability. The general location is the East side of the island. After a shower at the rest point we will enjoy a delightful evening meal.

The Thursday our trip will bring us somewhere in the middle of the island between the North and the South, where you will appreciate the quiet and peace far away from the tourists and discover some parts of Crete most of them never saw.

The Friday we will reach the South coast and discover more about villages.

The Saturday we will arrive at the West coast of the island and you will probably at this point see the difference between the way people live there.

The Sunday we will drive up to Hania all together. You will also have to complete the 10 questions about the history of Crete and Greece and the 15 questions about the daily life in the world and general knowledge. We will have our final diner on the road back to Heraklion. We will then have the results of the contest and the distribution of the first prize. The evening meal will be one you will never forget.

Be free for 5 days between May and September
Have a partner to do the trip with you or accept to share a car with another person.
Have a driving license.
Have a good sense of humour.
Be able to enjoy life and good time.

No. There will be 2 or 3 check points on every day trip.
You will also have an emergency phone number so that you can reach one of the organiser and ask for directions, and there are 500,000 inhabitants in Crete,

Read and agree with the general conditions.
Send 50% of the total price to confirm your participation 15 days before the tour, the remaining amount has to be paid before the tour starts.

Night accommodation and breakfast in a good standing place.
Evening meals (aperitif + one bottle of wine or 2 pints of beer).
The rental of a car for the 5 days.
Entrance to public places if they are required for answering the questions (and there are some visits you will need to do !!!).

The mid day meal (mainly because we do not know where you will be at that time of the day).
Extra drinks during the evening meal.
Personal expenses for gifts,...

The price for April, May and September is 730 € per person.
The price for June, July and August is 810 € per person per person.
This is the same price than one week half board in a decent resort with a car included !!!

There is no vaccination required to go to Greece, but you can always check with your doctor.

	On the road, you will be able to see or discover places and sceneries most tourists never saw. Do not forget your camera
	When driving from the North to the South you will meet small villages where we recommend you the have your mid day meal. You will be delighted with the real taste of vegetables and fruits. You will also enjoy the hospitality.

You may be tempted to have a swim during your trip, the weather isn´t that cold in May.
	What a nice award to walk through typical streets and enjoy a local tavern after a bright day. Have you all they answers up to now? (Some hints take some books with you - talk to people)
From which castle is this tower? Is there some hint hidden in a loophole? Had I really to climb up to that point?
This isn´t the place where you are going to stay for the night. During the 60s a lot of young people visiting Crete found there an ideal place to sleep. But what is the name of the village?
Where is the next pub? Am I lost in the middle of nowhere? Do not worry there is probably a check point very close.
